The FCEI Office for International Voluntary Service (UVI) runs a hosting programme for foreign volunteers in Italy and a sending programme for Italian volunteers abroad. The UVI deals with the administrative side of the volunteers' projects, organises seminars for the volunteers during their stay in Italy, and co-operates with the partners abroad, especially through the Ecumenical Diaconal Year Network (EDYN).
